Begin by opening a google doc and gathering the required information. When you have the information you need post it to your blog in paragraph format...in other words do not just answer the questions one by one.
For a detailed list of the information you need to include click the Photographer Research tab at the top of this page.
Be sure to copy the links to the resources you used.
The following work will be graded Monday:
AP Crit 5
Clone Tool image Blog post
Red Eye and Pimple removal Blog Post
Antique Store Images
Antique Store Self Critique
Download all of your pictures into a folder, then copy the best images into a different folder. Edit the 10-15 best pictures by Cropping, De-Saturating and applying Curves to each image.
The subject matter includes:
Landscape
Natural Details, Close-Ups
Shadows
Reflections
Textures
You can also include any pictures of your choice that aren't included in the list.
Post the pictures to your blog and do a self critique on your favorite image.
Select a photo that you have taken and use the Clone Toll to manipulate the photo in some way. You may want to add items, or make them disappear. Post a before and after pic.
Today we will work with a couple of tools to help improve minor imperfections in our photos.
Download the 2 photos below, retouch them, and upload the before and after pictures to your blog.
Use the Clone tool to remove the blemishes from the guy's face.
Here is a video to help you...
Use the Red Eye tool to correct the red eyes....
Use this video to assist you.
In a new blog post please let me know which two people's pictures you commented on. This will help me find your comments easier. Thanks
BE PREPARED. We will have our critique Tuesday, November 12.
We will begin after roll is called. You need to have your 10-15 best pictures plus your written self critique ready to present.
I am making a slight modification to our schedule. Instead of an in class critique we will first do a written Self-critique our photos from the field trip. This will help you prepare for what you will say when we have our class crit.First you will choose your favorite picture from your blog and write an IN-DEPTH (5-6 paragraphs) self critique of the photo. use the Photozo critique guide you used for the AP Photos assignment and address each component.ConceptCreativityCompositionLightContrastDepth of FieldPerspectiveNext, choose 2 classmates images. Read their self critique and comment on it. Do you agree with their self critique? Provide at least 2 positive statements, and comment on at least one area where the picture could be improved. InterpretComplimentCritiqueQuestionBe Respectful. Don't just say, I like it". Give specific reasons for your comments. We will review everybody's work next class.
Now that you are familiar with:
Cropping an image
Converting a color picture from Color to Black and White using the Hue/Saturation tool
Adjusting tonal contrast using Levels and Curves
Burning and Dodging
You are now ready to work with your pictures from the field trip to upload your 10-15 best images to your blog
You can post both a color version and a black and white version of the same picture if you cant' decide which image works best.
Remember that you are uploading pictures that feature:
Still Life
Close ups - details
Textures
Repetition of objects
